United's Youth team were two goals up on the hour against Pickering Town's senior side. "The Pikes", however hit back and led 3-2 before United levelled at 3-3, but thye home side triumphed with a late goal. Ross Wilkinson, Ollie Hotchkiss and Danny Ward got the Leeds goals. Josh Falkingham, Danny Ward and Ben Gordon were on the Leeds bench. The Pickering Town bench was: Alex Mathie, Jamie Ramm, Lee Pallender, Steve Baxter, Liam Salt. Academy boss Neil Thompson said, "we had five schoolboys in the squadand I was delighted with all of them. They were a side with experience and know-how and, combined with their fitness, that told in the end. But, we did really well." Referee: Steve Rowntree (Scarborough).
